Having more available time to work on the engine and enhancing it, the next release (Beta 0.6) is iminent.

However, I would like to hear from you what would you like to see in this release and if your suggestions are feasable within a small time frame then who knows, maybe it ends up on this release. Other suggestions could come up on future releases  and if you have any particular subject you would like to talk about then your comments are always welcome on the Feedback section on this forum.

Since i've been able to work with some projects that have come up from Rumblah! I can say that the next release would include:

- Enhanced AI (as seen in the Online Demo, however needs tweaking)
- Air dodge (performed by -blocking- in mid air)
- Counters (Blocking + ducking will make a dodging animation and if timed correctly could have a counter attack effect)
- ShortFuse bodies (more bodies, feets, etc)
- Improvement in some graphics
- Different damages to attacks
- More animations
- More attacks

Now the question is.. what would YOU like to have on the next release! Post it here and discuss with the members!

As a matter
I'd like to see Some Grapples Grin
As a matter of fact, I've been messing around with the possibility of grapples/grabs for a game I was working on based on Rumblah!
So there's a chance that if polished enough you could have some grabs at your disposal.

Thanks for the comment!

Will there ever be a way to export an instance of the game as a .swf or flash file that can be embedded into a web page?

For example, would I be able to add custom characters from say a animated license I'm working with, and then add a version of your game with the custom characters to a product or brand website?

A feature like that might open up a floodgate of opportunities for marketing this engine to a broader audience, as the engine powering the game would no doubt be promoted on any site using said exported game (.swf file).

Currently there are no plans for that.

What is available though are licenses that are being sold to developers that may want to publish their own games based on the engine.

Very nice video! I can't wait to put the new moves into my character (knuckles). The improved character selection screen
also seem very cool, now i can put alot of characters in rumblah. I am wondering if they will also be a improved Stage selection screen. I can't wait for V0.6 to come out soon.

Actually quite slow Tongue
I've worked independently with the new face cutting system from the whole engine so I haven't joined em into one whole thing yet.

The move in 0:37 is a replacement of the original down+B because the other 'wasn't as cool as this one'Cheesy
And you might have also noticed that:
- Down + A is no longer an uppercut... it had to much cheating potential
- Enemies dont get knocked down when hit in mid air

Those changes were made because both things killed the 'pace' of the fight.. being volleyed kinda sucked for the recieving end and being knocked in mid air stopped the action until the guy would get up back again

It’s has taken quite a long time to release the next version of Rumblah! and I don’t want to have you all waiting for so long… unless you think it’s worth it…

So I came up with a poll that asks you how complete would you like to see Rumblah! v0.6 when it’s released. The more additions and imporvements it will have the longer it will take me to release it. So consider if you would like to have it as soon as possible or wait some more (we are talking even months here) with more things polished and added to the engine.

Poll can be found here: http://rumblah.com/blog/?p=51

Even though it may be released with some of things missing remember that a later release could have this additions

The poll will run up to the first days of January. You can leave any other suggestions and thoughts in the comments section of this entry.
